I've been kicked out of FranLab during the daytime this week due to the demolition crews knocking down the walls next door  - but perhaps the worst will be over before the end of the month.  Maybe...

The fucking bastards!!

Thought you had a lease to June?!

The USA is fucked up. If that was the UK you could take that company to the cleaners. This is so fucked up :(

Adam Robinson

Document everything, you never know if you can sue them later for something that now seems irrelevant. As above, fucking bastards.

Anonymous

I am fucking speechless. How can they get away with this.

Anonymous

This sucks so bad. I'm mad this is being done to you. Actually I mad that it is done to anyone.

The only solution to this is to get the Patreon money to pay for your ongoing costs. Let us know what you need and we'll work it out between us.

Cash is king. We're just it's slaves.

I find it really hard to understand how this is not criminal!

That sucks!

Love the video =]

Any thought of finding a pro bono attorney to bring a cease and desist case due to violation of lease terms? Your workspace is uninhabitable for you to conduct your trade.

Dr Andy Hill

Just hang on in there and as above document everything.

Dr Andy Hill

wild idea move everything into storage, rent a small apartment short term until you find a suitable space. Perhaps even approach your landlords saying give me $x and I'll move out right away. Might pay for your temporary accommodation. But like someone else said get a lawyer first, see what can be done.

Owning isn't necesarily a piece of cake either. It's much more difficult and expensive to move if you have problems. Therefore, choose your place carefully and don't rush.

This is a Total Disgrace Fran, it would not legally be allowed in Europe due to Health and Safety, is there no legal advise you can get? What if you are injured from the demolition, surly there is some legal attorney that could give you some advice to your situation, you must have some rights??? it is an absolute disgrace.

What a shitty way to behave! This would not be allowed in the UK. Before they could begin any sort of demolition work, all residents would have to move out. We have recently had an instance where a major redevelopment was held up for a couple of years because one tenant would not move! None of what they offered her would suite so she hung on and eventually they paid her enough to move where she wanted to. With the sort of corrupt government you have I doubt that would work in Philly. Good luck.

Any lawyer would be glad to take my money at $450 an hour to work the problem, but in truth there is no legal action to solve this issue in the next year. Also, as a renter, I can't afford to be blacklisted.

Property owners write the laws and buy the city officials. Been that way in Philly all my life - and don't even ask about the tax deferments they get for doing this!

Woow Fran! I really hope that you find a new home soon. Take care and all the best. 💖

I think you once said the place was a brake relining facility. I would look up how much it costs to get air / dust monitoring for asbestos
