Hey everybody!  It's Fran...... AGAIN!  Yes, after more than a week locked out of my account, I am finally back on Patreon, so I'll be catching up on all those thank-you's to all the new patrons and sending out swag and whatnot.  Thanks for hanging in there and being patient everybody!

For a while there I thought they were fucking you over. Glad to be proved wrong in this case.

I checked about 5 minutes too early. Glad I got an email update and glad you're back in.

yayyyy, you back, Glad they finally fix your issue :)

Great to have you back on track.

Glad to see you again.

Would have been nice if Patreon could ping you a one-liner to let you know what's going on right from the start though... at least it seems to be working again for you now. Happy wotsits :o)

Yay!! 8o)

BTW, many thanks for the handwritten membership card. I believe you like correspondence so I'll send something out to you over the weekend. ;o)

Full bandwidth FranLab on all platforms, check. Excellent!

Did Patreon offer an explanation for their nerd aversion? Are nerds the latest group to fall to Globalist political correctness? 🎃

Great Fran, welcome back.

You've gotta tell us what went wrong! (with Patreon, I mean)

Anonymous

Glad to have you back.

The upside of story is at least they didn't lock people out of becoming a pateron, so although they gave you trouble, let's stick to the glass 1/2 full view of this, it's easier on the soul

.... that was odd, message sent before I clicked on it... anyhow, as I was saying I am getting quite upset when each time I sign in to Patreon they will not connect me without first going through their "Verify This Device" email exchange. All from the same computer, even on the same day should I sign out in between. And this isn't just your homepage, it is others that I am also supporting. Why the deterrent applied constantly? Does this happen to everyone? I can understand a need for security but this does not make sense. Regardless of their machinations, keep on trucking down the road!

YAY Welcome Back :)

Excellent. You were never gone in my book. Have faith.

Also had issues with the Patreon login. Solution I found is to use a separate browser from portableapps.com and store the Google and Patreon logons in it. (Being logged-into Google avoids the endless captcha problem, but you seem to have to be logged-in for a while before it has that effect.) Now as long as I don't actually log off before I close it, it 'just works' when I relaunch the browser. HTH for anyone with similar issues.

So happy for you.. some good news at least....

Fran, if you have a domain name registered, and email thrown in like say Dreamhost, heres a suggestion. I'd have a different email account for each company. All but 2 of my email usernames get forwarded to an inbound only account for this purpose. If I have to send an outbound email I use the hosting company webmail. I change the email addresses on a 6 monthly cycle too. It stops the spammers and also protects you. I have one email address for humans eg close friends. I hope that helps, Best wishes, Tez.

I have trouble with that stupid verify your device stuff. It grinds me.
