I was hoping to have a promo post telling everyone "A Succubus for Valentine's Day" was ready for pre-order by now.  Unfortunately, something appears to have gone wrong at Amazon.  It appears to be a rights issue.  I received a similar email about "A Succubus for Christmas".  I sent them the rights reversion letter Excessica gave me after closing and the ebook went live for pre-order the next day.

I did the same with "A Succubus for Valentine's Day" and... nothing.

After waiting 5 days I gave them a poke thinking it had just been forgotten, only to get an email back saying I didn't have the publishing rights... to my own work.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on here.  Unfortunately, Amazon have been fairly opaque with their responses, so I don't know if it's a mix-up with the previous version, or someone else is claiming infringement - either by mistake or maliciously.  I now understand why youtubers get aggravated with Youtube's bad content claim system - something appears to be wrong, but Amazon isn't telling me what, so I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to give them to fix it.

I'm going to stick with the original date of the 29th for the book to go live.  It's been accepted okay everywhere else.

Unfortunately, Amazon could be a major issue here.  Normally I'd think this was a minor thing to be fixed in a day or two, but I've already given them the correct documentation and got the rejection email, so I'm fearing this could be messier than I first thought.  Given Amazon is 90% of sales, I can't just route around them.

Unsurprisingly, this has been causing me a lot of stress this week.

On a more positive note, Gas Balloon Tits is typed up and is 4,000 words.  I've also typed up 1,000 words of Huntress 2 and changed her appearance so the 1st half of the scenario matches the second.

I've also been taking a look at the Godot game engine to see if it would feasible to migrate HoHH across.  I'd like learn more into the roguelike aspects and eliminate a lot of the repetition when starting a new run or seeing harlots that have been seen many times before.

Overall, the week was sort of going okay and then the Amazon problems upended it.  I'm still aiming for the next HoHH release to have the 3 new harlots but I think it will doubtful I'll have it ready by the end of the month given I don't know how much time I'll have to devote to trying to fix the problem at Amazon.

Thanks for your support.

I saw your post on Twitter about it and.. the only idea to fix this I'd have is to go on the Amazon entries for your older versions of the books and remove them? If you search for them on Google you'll find those pages and they all list you as the author, so I'd assume you should be able to remove them too. (they are all unlisted already, but maybe these trigger the system) Oh and yush, unless there's a social media uproar about your issue, Amazon will trust it's automated system, forcing you to literally sue them to get a response from a human being. That is the current state of all big corpo platforms, unfortunately :c
