Art Commission - Setouchi's Illustration of Volumpula (NSFW!!!) (Patreon)

Not quite sure how picture posts work on Patreon, but let's go.

A while back I set aside some money for an art commission of Volumpula.  That fell through unfortunately.  Fast forward to about a week or so ago and one of my patrons (thanks Stephen!) pointed me in the direction of Skeb, a Japanese site that facilitates commissions of various hentai artists, including some of the artists of "Monster Girl Quest".

I love Setouchi's work, especially his gooey slime girls, and put in a request.  This is the result, and it's rather nice.  Volumpula does make for a nice soft comfortable bed while she gently drains away all that... tension.

(Quick disclaimer for any Patreon apparatchiks passing by:  Everyone in the pic is of legal age and having good clean consensual sexy fun times.  I shouldn't even need to state that for a toon, but we live in weird times.)

If you're not aware of who Volumpula is, she's a pink cushionblob.  About a year or so ago, while first experimenting with Twine, I created a couple of monster girl CYOAs.  One of which was "Escape Volumpula, the Pink Jelly".  That can be played here:

An important thing to note about Skeb commissions is that they are for personal use only.  From the guidelines, you can use them on social media and blogging sites and that's about it.  This means, no, I can't package it up with the "Escape" scenario and release as a game.  While I won't be making this post public on Patreon because of the pr0n content, I will be cross-posting to my regular blog where it will be available for all for free.  This was a personal request I had commissioned and I'm happy to share it with everyone.  I hope you enjoy.

I was very pleased with how easy and professional it was.  Skeb uses DeepL translation to translate from English to Japanese.  As with all machine translation, it's worth feeding the outputted Japanese back in to check that it comes back as roughly the same English you put in (as an example, I first described the colour as "cherry blossom pink", which was then converted to "cherry red", so it's always worth a check before submitting).

Setouchi also works fast.  The request for this went in 6 days ago.  So, yep, I highly recommend commissioning his services, especially if you have a monster girl you like from "Monster Girl Quest" and want to see more artwork of her (the booby fly demon Beelzebubs seem pretty popular, looking at his page).

While I'll have to be careful that it stays within the boundaries of personal rather than commercial commissions, it might be fun to put up the occasional poll and have you select which monster girl from H-space or House of Hellish Harlots you'd like to see artwork of.

I'll probably commission more anyway.  I just love Setouchi's monster girls and having him draw some of mine is a dream come true.

I'm very glad to hear that you liked the end result. I'm happy to have helped you out, even if it was an incidental consequence of sharing my own requests with you (which I give you permission to share with your audience if you want.). This is a good piece, though I admit it doesn't hit my fetishes. (Which are admittedly pretty locked to impregnation, pregnancy, and concerningly, even birth (though not egg laying) and nothing else) And I imagine that there are likely others you'd like to commission, such as Shiki or Xelvy, but I note they are more expensive and take more time than Setouchi does. Setouchi is frankly an astounding combination of quality, price and speed (which probably helps with the price, something done slowly requires more money to be worth it), almost certainly the best value MGQ artist on skeb. No doubt there are one or two characters you'd like done by Shiki, but he has low availability. At any rate, I look forward to what else you might request.

Yep, I was astonished at how quick Setouchi was. He's great for the gooier and weirder monster girls. It's more a cartoon/anime style, but I'm fine with that. After seeing some of his other pieces, he's also probably perfect for a "drowned in giant boobies" piece, eg. Oppa from "Joey Farrell Walks into an Obvious Booby Trap". Shiki draws amazing succubi. If I was going to commission him it would likely be for one of the more vanilla succubi. Would be interesting to see his versions of Nyte of Nurse Honey as multiple artists have done them. I wonder if he's busy with MQ: Paradox stuff at the moment and that's why he's currently closed. Xelvy is for when you want to traumatize the audience. :D I think I already terrorize innocent monster girl lovers enough without getting Xelvy to draw those scenes. Maybe. It would be funny. I might check to see if there are any of the other artists I like. I was very impressed with how easy and professional Skeb was to use.

I mean if you want to do some some real try hard stuff, then go for a commission done by Usuki. I am going to assume that you know who I am talking about. His take on Nurse Honey, for example, would probably be an another level. He recently opened up his own Skeb, but considering the level of his art, he is also expensive af. I thought I didn't, and then I saw the profile and it clicked. He's written some nice succubus manga. For some reason, his main succubus character doesn't click for me, and I've never been able to figure out why. I think I mixed her up with a loli character for one of the early stories and that keeps sticking in my head even though she's clearly not and is quite busty. I'm pretty sure I should like her more! Character-wise, yep, she's very similar to the Succubus Summoning crew. They can be nice to nice people and bad to bad people, but they're not exactly averse to eating nice people, or just people in the wrong place at the wrong time. It could be interesting to see what he comes up with. That commission minimum is a bit of a dealbreaker, though. A bit too high for me. Usuki does have a lot of succubus fans, though, so maybe someone will be happy to pay. For the really try-hard stuff I did find that Naglfar Sakura was on there. He provided some of the early artwork for the monster girl voice scenarios Torotoro Resistance put out. He does some really sexy and weird succubi and monster girls in an almost psychedelic style. Sometimes a little too weird - a bit too futa-ry and shota-ry for my tastes - but his succubi really smoulder with seductive energy.
