Known as "Wreath Cake", Kransekake is traditionally a wedding cake. In recent years it has been adopted as a Christmas treat by Scandinavian Americans.

Here we have young Nora Jorgensen taste testing her home made icing. One cup of powdered sugar and one egg white. Add food coloring to get a festive green and maybe a drop or two of almond extract. I use a Wilton icing bottle.
