So this month my personal art time, I've been noodling around with designing my new character for a second D&D game!  I think this is the first time in a very very long time I've had more than one ongoing RP going on, and I'm very excited about it - and it does my creativity some wonders.

We're playing the "Shattered Obelisk" campaign (in the Forgotten Realms - no spoilers if you know it, but from what little I Do know it's very thematically in tune with Baldur's Gate 3).

So this is Vinsent Dezlentyr -  a 22 year old  sorcerer who is privilege incarnate.  He's the third son of a wealthy Waterdeep noble house, very much the idle rich: party lifestyle, dodging responsibilities, doesn't like to get his hands dirty, etc.  He's catty, acts way overconfident, and a bit foppish.  His big catch is that he's actually not his father's son, and is a low-espression Yuan Ti (snake person).   He claims the few scales that have popped up are because of draconic lineage and the source of his magic (a lie).  I've based his snake traits (rear fings, color of his scales (mostly under his clothing) and hair - and a lot of his personality on a tricolor hognose snake.  Small, dramatic, spicy.  Prone to big bluffs that he can't back up - and when all else fails?  Play dead.

So he has a lot of really deep insecurities that the only thing of value he has (his wealth, his family name) is all a lie. He's a sorcerer, but has not had hte focus or dedication to develop it at all.

He's going to be a lot of fun to put through the wringer, and have him definitely experience some character growth!

Sounds like he will be a fun character to play. I hope you find the campaign a lot of enjoyment for you and your group.
