Hi Everyone!
So for this month I wanted to do a return to traditional media after getting a beautiful watercolor book spotlighting the artwork of one of my favorite comic artists, Brian Stelfreeze (I highly reccomend the book - it's gorgeous and has a lot of beautiful watercolor pinup work).
So I decided I really wanted to do a pinup piece this month experimenting with some of the techniques outlined in the book, namely a violet acryllic underpainting laying down some of the shadowed areas before doing normal watercolors on top.
Especially since I have the opportunity to meet with Brian Stelfreeze himself at the end of the month at Dallas Fan Expo. I met him years ago at a tiny convention in my hometown and he was genuinely one of the biggest inspirations to me that I could legitimately pursue my artwork - he was encouraging, gave me some excellent critiques, and was an utterly amazing, talented artist and human being!

So forgive the repetitive subject *coughs* but I had a lot of fun with the piece - sexy Winter Soldier or not ;)
I'm also attaching a few progress shots here - including the final sketch and the underpainting I Talked about
