Hello everyone!

I'm doing the VLOG in two halves this month because, well, I have no good excuse other than I was hit by a massive brainfart midway through this but didn't want to repeat myself because there is a lot of genuine excitement in this video for the awesome weekend I had.

$15+ Shout outs: Thank you all SO Much for your contributions and helping make this all possible!!

And for those of you interested to hear more about my con experience:

The convention was AMAZING. Best convention I've ever been to hands down, and even I'd go as far to say one of the top three weekends of my life. Any one of over a half dozen experiences would have made the convention for me, and, yeah, like I said, there were over half a dozen of those.

My wife and I have started posting a few things about it to our tumblr, but here are some highlights:

- Screening The Winter Soldier WITH the directors, The Russo Brothers, and being able to ask questions during it.

- Meeting two amazing writers, Ruth Fletcher Gage and her husband, Christos Gage and finding how much we have in common and all of the amazing work they've done on shows (Daredevil and Law & Order SVU to name a couple) and comics we love.

- meeting (and kissing @.@) Chris Evans (Captain America himself!). Like, I still can't get over that.

- An amazing commission from Jorge Molina - a piece I've dreamed of commissioning for quite some time - an epilogue to my favorite Captain America comic.

- How personable and friendly Frank Grillo was: not rushing his fans, remembering us, and chatting with him, being able to ask him some questions about his character motivations.

- Being able to meet a long-time online friend Katch and hanging with her (making even Thursday, the day before the con, AWESOME).

- Meeting Grillosource and Vvinghead - two awesome fans, and serendipitously Grillosource and my wife were two of the few people who both got to ask Frank Grillo a question on the Huffington Post interview, and getting to know and chatting with them.

- Not one, not two, but FIVE AMAZING photos from the photo op. Any ONE Of them I would have considered the best photo op ever.

- Being on the third row for the Captain America panel.

And just... wow. Everything went SO SMOOTHLY. The con was run well, we got to do EVERYTHING We wanted to do, dreamed of doing, and more.

Thank you, New Orleans. This was, seriously, the Best Weekend EVER.

Here's a few awesome links of pics and experiences from the con:
