So for this month's portfolio piece, I'm participating in this year's Captain America reverse big bang again (ie, artists draw artwork pieces, and then writers pick one to make a fanfic around).  I've had a lot of fun with these in the past, and this seemed like a great excuse to work on a number of techniques I've been wanting to practice:

So in this piece, I incorporate:

- the dramatic comic-style inking I've been really meaning to dig down and practice with
- PERSPECTIVE.
- BUILDINGS
 (two of my nemesi)
- more practice with the Procreate program, and really seeing its advantages when it comes to the above things (especially perspective).  Man, it's so much easier for me to do it digitally than by hand, it turns out.
- and starting to poke into the use of halftones to shade/push back the background and have the foreground stand out

Really proud of how this turned out, and helping me get more familiar with more techniques I can bring into my work.

I'm including for you guys the raw sketch (when I'm inking in procreate, I still prefer at this point to do the sketch traditionally, and then I jstu take a photo of it and work off of that) plus some works in progress of the inking + a BIG version of the final piece :)
