There are now 7 customisable parts of the MiDi, each with 3 levels:

Canister: block capacity
Core: block health
Rail: dig damage
Cooling: structure placement cooldown
Servo: dig speed
Generator: build and dig reach
Collector: dig efficiency

This will be released in v1.3.7 along with the other attachments and TTK rework.

New Game Modes

We have been designing our own competitive 5v5 game mode which strongly utilises building, base defence and stealth.

The mode will be situated entirely underground, with teams spawning in their central 'foundation' building amidst a large prodecurally generated cavern network. Teams must scout the map in search of different types of minerals and store them back at their base. Players do not know how many other teams have spawned in this map. Players always respawn inside their foundation building, which is indestructible for balancing purposes.

Players have a central 'bank' in their foundation building which they can deposit minerals in, which are then used players to create and repair blocks, and to power new placed equipment types.

Some minerals can't be stored in the bank, and must be stored outside your foundation building. This means you must create reinforced rooms attached to this foundation, or hide the minerals elsewhere.

New equipment types will be introduced with this mode, such as one that will use minerals from your bank to automatically reinforce the blocks in a radius around it, and another types that prevents enemy players from building near it.

New forcefield block types will also be introduced, which can be seen in the picture above. Only friendly players can pass through forcefield blocks, which will be useful when designing your base. You can also create enemy forcefield blocks, meaning you can create a bridge and run across it, but enemies will fall straight through it.

Players will also be able to build with rock, which will help with covering your tracks and concealing your base.

The objective of the mode is to hold the most amount of certain minerals at the end of the match. You may gather minerals yourself, or stealthily siphon them from the enemy.

You can play any role you like in this mode, whether it be building, gathering, attacking or stealing.

We are keen for a mode like this as it will emphasise the things that make Sector's Edge unique; base building, solid combat and stealth.
