Just a small update today, went out to watch Moana but that's besides the point. Here's the GUI icons that you'll be presented with during room navigation.

From left to right; the map lets you choose where to go in town; the phone shows you your skill stats and your character relationship stats; the bag is your inventory and has your wallet inside where you can see how much money you have; lastly is the clock icon where you can see how much energy/ what time of day it is, and what day of the week it is.

I'm kind of unsure how to code the clock because there will be 21 variants of it. I could split the time and the day into their separate images so that I can use if statements to decide what day of the week it is and then from there, decide how much energy is left/ what time of day it is.

Before I could offer advice on the coding I have ask more what your plan is for the mechanic? Mainly in regards to time/energy? For starters how do you plan on breaking down the clock? Like is it a simple day/night cycle, or do you literary want to code in an actual clock that keeps track of hours and minutes all the way up to 24? The second question I would have is do you really need both time, energy and day mechanics? I'm not saying this is a bad idea and it can be really rewarding if done well but having both not only means you're going to have a LOT more coding you have to do and keep track of, but it also means you're going to have to be a lot more careful with how you design the game itself.

How the clock works is that each day is split into 3; morning, afternoon, and night, and with each section of the day, the player is able to execute one action or activity. Morning and Afternoon is daytime and night time is.. night, where some events only occur during that time of day. There's no way I'm considering adding a full 24 hours time system, that's too much for me to handle. So to answer your second question, time of day and energy acts hand in hand. 3 sections of the day, 3 points of energy to spend per day.
