Hey! Just wanted to make a quick update on what's going on with Steam's version for anyone wondering.

INFO NO LONGER APPLICABLE:

Steam made some big changes with how developers can set up custom sales and dates and it has messed up our plans to have the Alpha 0.42 update be part or at the very least co-exist with the upcoming Steam Sale.
We've decided that our next best window for the Steam release is mid-November so we'll be releasing an Alpha 0.42.5a in November for both Patreon and Steam that includes just a few more Hitomi content progression but not the community-voted H-Scenes.

NEW INFO:

We are going forward with releasing the Steam update of Alpha 0.42b next week in line with the next Steam Sale. We've figured out how to do it after messing around with the developer hub. What I said previously above is no longer the plan and release schedule is as normal.

Speaking of, I'd like to touch on that for a bit. I've decided to make community-voted H-scenes a regular part of each update because we've gotten to a point in the game where there isn't any new features we need to work on.

The pipeline really only consists of focusing on one-story, writing the story, coding the story content, and making art for it. I needed to bulk up content in other areas and what better way than to get some fan-requested content.

We will occasionally add new locations and backgrounds, and the odd character here and there based on what the current story requires but unlike years ago, we don't have new features and systems to work on and thus 'new, shiny' things don't appear that often in the changelog if at all anymore.

Just something I've noticed this whole year and wanted to touch upon and hope that shines a light on it for you as well.

There's a lot about the game that I wish I knew I needed or how to do early on in development but the game's too massive to implement fundamental features and systems anymore. We're just going with the motion now and fleshing out relationships.

We're focused on keeping a closed bubble and tying up loose threads rather than expanding the town into a deeper hole of never-ending stories to write.

Anyway, thank you for supporting the game and project and the team. We appreciate you whole-heartedly.
