The Rest of the Story (Patreon)

In real life, I (SilverSidhe, aka Elizabeth, aka "mom") have a five year old daughter. Said daughter sometimes makes me very, very tired. Also, I have to write after she goes to bed, because there is no way to concentrate while she's telling me about how she rescued a dinosaur after its mom was injured after a meteor hit the earth, and she promises it won't eat us all, and can she keep it? So, by the time I reach the end of a chapter, I'm pretty wiped, and probably shouldn't be producing anything that other people are going to read.

This was definitely the case when I finished chapter Fifteen. In fact, I fully intended to have Rouge go and retrieve Blackie from the stable, and I just forgot. So, when I settled in to write the next day, she had no horse. No horse, and a time limited quest. What's an author to do?

Apparently, add an ostrich with personality to a story already jam packed with characters. But who am I to argue with Fate? And that is how Codswallop really came to be.
