What sort of content should I draw? (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

Im experiencing a current drop in follower count and interest in my posts, would anyone have any suggestions as to what type of drawings I should draw next to keep my followers/help spark interest in my fans?

I think it was all the back story stuff that caused the drop. I would suggest making more characters in your style. I would love to see you draw Goku or All Might maybe even Nightwing

Thanks for the suggestion! But most sg buildings are grey and most on the geometric forms. Do u have any examples?

Oh? It's really hard to predict reception. I've always thought having some sort of story immersion is great. But thanks for the pointer and yes I was thinking on just doing other characters too

I don’t think having stories or backgrounds caused the drop, but the types of stories do. Without stories your posts are just drawings of guys, there will be no hook for them to want to keep coming back. You want them to want to know what happens next to those characters, but they must be relatable for your followers, and hence realistic. Personal opinion. I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing a drop. In any case it may be due to the economy and people reducing discretionary spending and nothing to do with the quality of your content. Jiayou!

I don't have any profound ideas but I'm sorry to hear that you've lost supporters. For me, I just like your drawings - and, no, they don't have to have dicks though some of the recent drawings - wowza! (Daddy Asuma especially). I really like the way you interact with supporters to tell us your ideas and the projects you think up; you don't have to do that but it's nice that you do. Also, I like that you send out WIPs; it can be fun to guess where those are going. But, really, all you should feel obliged to do is send out the finished drawing. By sending WIPs you make me feel part of your work. If I had one request it would be that you add more descriptions sometimes. I have no idea who Goku, Daddy Asuma, Naruto etc are. If they're from manga or some other style of comic or from some video game then I have no clue. Being a "white" guy, I don't know much of Singaporean or Chinese culture so adding a note to explain those references could be good. Yeah, I'd like to see couples or groups not just solo figures but they don't have to be sex scenes. I'd agree with Eric - the drop may be the economy - so I hope it doesn't last plus I hope that your work starts up again properly soon (if it hasn't).

Fanart of what's popular these days always seems to be what pulls people in and then you can hook them with your personality and your OCs. Being personable, relatable and welcoming are always good things. Your price points are definitely fair, so no real need to worry there. It's a grind to get followers and grow. I'm sorry you've been losing people, but the world is shit right now, so it's bound to cut across all areas of income. SFW or NSFW, a mix of both and trying to push yourself in your own style, poses, situations, explanations, etc, it's all up to you. Remember your supporters are here to support you and the art you make. So try to remember to enjoy yourself :)
