You look around.

“Is that your master’s lair?” You ask after a while. Nobody answers. Several spears point upwards from behind the snowdrifts and spears.

“Speak at once, or it will get warmer!”

The spears tremble.

Forward steps one of the creatures, skull-topped staff in his clawed hands, his white scales covered behind faded robes. Green eyes sparkle under the hood. “Oh, fearsome dragon. You have entered the realm of his enormity Kostrumnibulukreznik, Sky Dread, Dying Cry, Doomwing, Otherworldly Gust…

The little guy carries on for a minute or two, while you listen and wonder how did this Kostrumni-something manage to gain so many titles! You wonder how much treasure is in his cave…

“What sort of creatures are you?” You ask, interrupting the little fellow.

“We… we are kobolds - loyal servants of his enormity. And I am Dum Dum.”

You stay silent for a few moments, and Dum Dum continues: “And we are distant descendants of all dragons. We… are destined to be side by side with the mighty rulers of the skies. The ones… like you, great one. Except with his enormity… not you. Not exactly you.”

“Interesting.” You say. At this point an idea ignites in your mind…

“What… what is?”
