I made a shitty claw machine

And it was shitty for all the wrong reasons. Fuck it. I managed to behead a tiny chocolate duck at least so that's something.

Like everyone's already saying, a bigger/taller machine seems like a good plan. And I love claw games so I would love seeing a larger scale version of this! Either way, this video was a lot of fun. Keep on being amazing Simone!

Would a fireman's claw be at all a good design? I feel like the higher gearing and more scissor like you can get the action, the tougher things it could chomp.

How to improve this? I have a few shitty ideas (really, I don't know if they will work but they might end up being a good kind of fail). 1.- You could use a spring for the claw, like a very strong spring. You use the motor to open the claw and then make the spring close is with a lot of strength. 2.- Repetition. Instead of grabbing something just once, you make the claw open and close several times before lifting the object 3.- Faster and stronger positioning of the claw. Let it fall heavily on the object, trying to stab it, before you do the grabbing thing. (sorry about my weird english, not my native language and I'm kind of sleepy right now.. have fun!)

totally nailed the multiple iterations with 3d printing ... it's kind of a thing. Though question, did you screw in the servo horn or just relied on pressure fitting? In any case, I enjoyed the video. May the marshmallow peeps tremble in fear of your next iteration. #marshmallowgenocide

Förslag: Ladda upp 3d-filen på klon i t.ex parasolid-format, så kan vi som arbetar med CAD i industriell produktion sätta klorna i den och göra försämringar... (Anledningen till att jag vill ha 3D filen är för att slippa göra ett nytt gränssnitt till servot.
