Perhaps this is a bold idea, but I think release dates should be set after the content is finished. Finish the movie or game or whatever and then announce when it's being released. Things like the mcu have frequently announced mega release calendars for tons of installments in a franchise, and then the movies get stuck in development or there are other delays and very quickly that calendar no longer lines up. It would be so much easier if we waited to actually finish the content and then we can announce when it's coming out. It's something that's done a lot more with books where authors might give a rough idea when a book will be done, but nothing is set in stone until the book is finished.
