Today's video takes us to the second city of the classical Greek world: Sparta!
In it, we examine what kind of city sparta actually was (hint: 4 unwalled villages in a valley) and how it interacted with its neighbors (hint: cruelly) to understand what role it filled in greek society (hint: mutual heel with athens, less skeezy but somehow more rude).
Enjoy!

Another nice episode, well done Blue. While I'm on the subject, I'd love to see another city-minutes episode of other ancient Greek city-states that didn't have a lot to do with either Sparta or Athens.

Good news, plenty more of Greece I've yet to cover
