Trope Talk: Timeskips

Check out my comic at https://www.comicaurora.com/ ! Anyway, on to the video! Ahh, the trope that launched a thousand redesigns. But are timeskips good? Bad? Narratively neutral and solely determined by the execution? (yes) But let's discuss in more detail anyway! Thanks to patron Skemono for requesting this one! uhhhh. Great video but Comicaurora.com seems to be down. Did it crash from everyone trying to view it at once?

OSP

It does that sometimes when a lot of people use it at once. It still works intermittently and there's nothing wrong on the webmaster side, so I think it'll just go away on its own. -R

in my personal experience, when it comes to the time skip it's very rare for it to be well done in any medium. ....food puns, because I'm hungry.

Are montages the modern timeskips?

Hi, Red, As always, you're very informative, and even when it's late and I'm tired, I stay hooked for more great examples explanations, and annalysis. Has it really been 2 years since I read all the pages of your comic that I could find? I'm afraid the whole world is as "One Piece" is for you: too much to get through. I really loved your comic, even when I was confused. I'm already falling behind with everything else. You can probably tell, from how many days I'm posting, after you posted this trope talk. I wish I could be more encouraging. You do great work. Lots of people are doing at least good work. Maybe even more people are struggling about how to spend their time. Please don't give up. Rob Balder, creator of Erfworld, says most cartoonists give up way too soon.
