This video was requested by Patron Peter Bemis! Thanks Peter :) I had a ton of fun making this video.

I say it in the video, but the real trouble is how comprehensive of a topic the Reformation is across Europe. Really no corner of the Christian world isn't affected in some way. As a result, it's exceedingly difficult to compress all of it in 11 brief minutes. I hope I was able to be thorough and accurate as well as fair and balanced in my shitposting. I may return to the later 15 and 1600s again but damn if the Holy Roman Empire isn't an absurd amount of mess to dissect.

Catch you in the next video!

"It hurts my heart that the three factions have miserably torn the truth to pieces between them, that I must collect the bits wherever I can find them, and put them together again . . . Behold, I am attacted either by all three parties, or at least by two of them against the third, setting my hopes on agreement; but my opponents are only attracted by one party, imagining that there must be irreconcileable division and strife." — Johannes Kepler.

As someone who has taken graduate level courses in the reformation, you did a decent job. This was a super balanced video, but you missed the Anabaptists, which makes me sad because my reformation courses skim over them too (they were those pesky rebellious peasants).

It took me a few times clicking "Load More" on Patreon, to realize the rest would be on YouTube. There I watched Pope Fights 1 and 2. Thank you for such a good job. :)
