Another vote for "Muppet Christmas Carol is best adaptation of Christmas Carol" (also second best Christmas movie overall; I'm sure you can guess which one I think is best)

Found the channel YESTERDAY and TODAY...well...now I'm a Patron ='). Muppet Christmas Carol (and Treasure Island!) were my childhood and are definitely the definite versions of both stories and you can't convince me otherwise.

Wonderful video. You are correct - Muppet Christmas Carol is the best version. Michael Caine gave the best Scrooge performance ever. Also, it may interest you to know (if you didn't already, which I imagine you likely did) that in Dickens' day, it was customary to tell ghost stories on Christmas (I have no idea why), so using a ghost story as the theme of his story was not just a random choice; conversely, Christmas wasn't celebrated elaborately then, either, and Dickens' story was a not only very popular, it helped spur a revival of the holiday that's held on ever since.
