August as a whole marks a key point in the development process for our current project as we've now got the key visual that we're happy with as well as having created enough assets to start introducing them into a code framework so that it (the framework) can be developed in more meaningful ways. This is still quite a way from any form of playable version of the game but you could say that this is the month where we've now organised the needle and thread that will pull everything already available a bit closer together as well as leave us with clear starting points for areas that still need to be worked on.

One of these elements that we've now been able to expand on as a result can be seen in the final screenshot (this gives an example of how the initial UI elements and key visual come together) which is the idea of difficulty modifiers. Traditionally in Sunrider you'd be limited when it comes to difficulty to what comes from the pre-set values of that particular difficulty option, in Sunrider 4 you will now also get access to additional tweaks on top that can be used to further make gameplay easier and/or harder. You could say decide to give yourself access to additional funds from the start of the game but then also opt to remove your ability to save during battles - who would have thought lost technology would find its way into the real world?

The final thing we'd like to share today is something some of you will already be aware of either through its 'behind the scenes' tier reward video or through discussion with an individual who has watched this video - this is about the new addition ship as featured in the key visual that will become available to the player during the events of the game, its name is Gur Znenl .

This ship didn't end up with a proper development alias as we went straight into calling it by its proper name at the get go but in the interest of individuals who want to continue to keep this name a surprise until release please be considerate and refer to it in the Patreon comments as: the new Pocket Carrier.
