As your operator, Jeanne's sole mission is to ensure that you return from missions alive. After a past training accident which claimed the life of her previous pilot, she swore to never lose another pilot again. She has the warmth of an older sister and views you as her family, or even something more.  Her devotion to her job as operator is matched only by her belief in the Council of Humankind. Her zeal has made her unpopular with the crew, many of whom suspect that she might be a member of Echelon, the Council's militarized police. Despite not being a member of the Council, she has special observer status, and attends all meetings with the admiral.  Whatever the crew say about her behind her back, her skills as an operator has made her indispensable to you. In the cold expanse of space, her voice might be the only thing reassuring you that you will make it back home alive.
