During this month I worked a lot with the code and managed to make dungeons work in much smoother and enjoyable way.
It's easier to show than to tell everything, so here you have a screenshot of how moving around the dungeon will look from now on.
- You can use buttons on the right to move, but you can also use WSAD to walk around the corridors.
- There will be some new icons on the map (magnifier for example that gives you a small flavor text, but is not stopping you from moving forward).
- Building dungeons is much easier now so you can expect them to be larger (the map can scale so single map can have different sizes) or with many levels.
- New way of coding them gives me a lot of new opportunities : some zones can be interacted with only once or I can make new passages after certain actions. Enemies can now patrol the area - yay moving skulls!
Overall it should be less irritating to navigate in the dungeons while the places should be slightly more interesting.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to change the old dungeons to work like this one without breaking save files. For now it's going to be most likely only in the newest dungeon, I will see what do you think about it and if there's something else that needs to be changed before I will reorganize all the previous one.
