This is the monthly community post

Here I encourage all of you to speak up about anything when it comes to art, hobbies, shows/movies/games you been enjoying...all is welcome! I wanna learn about you all! In addition to that, I'm going to pose a question to answer at the end of your comment or if you have nothing to say but want to join in and take part!

Question of the month: What's your dream project? If you had all the money, skills and time in the world, what would you create with it?

As for me,

Sincerely Elise is mine, if I had more money though I'd probably outsource a video game to be made out of the story to help promote it. I almost picture it to be played like something along the lines of the older God of War games or Uncharted where it'd be a pretty linear experience but the levels themselves would be big enough to explore.

For everything else, my wife and I just got Sons of The Forest and have been playing that and Hogwarts legacy during our free time. We went Slytherin and are trying to pretty much just play the game as mean as possible. I like everyone else have been watching the Last of Us which could be a masterclass example of how to actually translate a video game into a watchable show, the recreated location sets blow my mind at how spot on it is!

Anyways, tell me about yourself!

Hey, thanks so much for these monthly community post it’s super cool! Starting off with Dream projects, I guess I’m technically already working on them! I have started 2 comic series out of 5 I planned. I guess the only real problem right now is my progress is slow and my minds all over the place so I don’t have time to work on it often 😅. In a perfect world where I’d have infinite money, I’d definitely hire a team of artist so that I could focus on writing the stories and coming up with character designs! You were actually on my List of “artist I’d really love to have work on this comic if I had the money” :,). The real dream is to get them physically published so I can turn the pages and feel satisfied knowing it’s out there but if any of y’all are interested the first 15 pages of one of them is out on Webtoons! It’s called “SKSK” :)) As for hobbies, I like to occasionally play games, my most recent game is currently resident evil remake (2002) remaster. It’s been a wild ride for me because I’ve never played the first game! I also dabble in the Mugen engine, I’m currently trying to create the weirdest roster of characters to have in a fighting game so that’s been fun too :) I suppose drawing is a hobby too but I do it so often and I wanna make money off of it so I don’t see it that way too much Anyways this is getting pretty long so final things to know about me, I’m a recent college graduate! I graduated with my bachelors in 3D animation and Game Design, needless to say I haven’t used it yet, but I mean I wanna make comics anyway so I’m not sure if I’ll even use it 😅 I’m a huge sonic geek, he’s my child hood hero, and my favorite manga artist is Kohei Horikoshi :)

Thats awesome man, I'm glad Ive had the honor to draw some of the characters from it already, I love their designs! But man im telling you the feeling of getting the physical book and turning the pages is unlike anything else. Even if you don't make it into a volume, just having a classic chapter in hand is fun. Maybe you can print a few copies of the first chapter and hand them out for promo! Never hurts! I checked it out on Webtoon, its a great start dude! I gotta try the RE remake! I only played the newer gen ones like 7 and 8 but my wife and I always love a good spooky game. We're excited for the Outlast Trials but maybe we can check that one out while we wait! Never touched the Mugen stuff but appreciated it from afar, to have all those characters in one selection is a dream! It reminds me of the older days when they would released the Jump games and it wouldld have a full roster of all my fav shone characters. Felt like a game like that would never be real and now the mugen engine exists! Thats a good thought process tho! If you want you hobby to become a career you just gotta keep at it everyday, based on your style from the comic and he refs you sent me you can def make it that way if you stay determined my man! Congrats on graduating! I got the same degree pretty much from Art Institute, I have so much knowledge about Media Arts, Animation and Game art like textures, rigging, prototyping etc that im never gonna use because I just like drawing 2D hahaha. There are jobs out there for 2D artists like us tho, don't let the teachers scare ya like they did to me! PS. Same, been a sonic fan since I was a kid, making sprite sheets of my OC sonic characters and putting them in sprite comics and stuff, good times. Also you already KNOW Horikoshi Sensei is a legend and the goat!!

Hello Chris! I’ve been drawing since I could remember. My dream projects are to take OCs I’ve had for years and finally make a story with them, as well as design stickers. I love drawing with pen and ink, sketching with pencil, and coloring with alcohol markers. I usually draw anything from anime/game characters to designing my own Kaijus and worlds. I do dabble in NSFW, as it is quite lucrative. Currently playing Fire Emblem engage and am a HUGE MegaMan fan.

Thats awesome! Same with me, drawing all my life. Thats a great goal! What type of OCs do you have?? Also right on!! I need to start traditionally sketching as I rely on digital little too much, is it the same for you? Or you're comfortable with entirely traditional? Designing Kaiju's is sick, sounds like you are able to draw a pretty wide variety of things which is great for the career. NSFW def is lucrative but has alienated a bit of my audience which I knew would happen but now since its such a huge part of my work I can at least feel comfortable knowing when I post some people will appreciate it. I think my mistake was starting my social media career off drawing pretty mild, tame, action heroes then took a HARD switch towards nsfw, pinup stuff. Still trying to find a healthy mix of both but that being said if your audience appreciates it thats all that matters! Another Fire Emblem player! You enjoying it? I hope they make another megaman soon!
