Important Information about Pocket Rain Files.

About us.

Hi, I'm Levya and today I'm going to tell you a little bit about us.

If you're not interested and just want to see what's going to happen with the visual novel, skip to the next section.

I'm Levya and I do all the menu design work, draw the characters and write the story. My husband, on the other hand, is Himanntai, he does the tedious part which is the programming and I adore him for it.

Pocket Rain Files is doing very well, thank you all for that, but financially, we're not getting the help we need.

It doesn't matter right now too much, and we know these things take time and patience.

Besides, we are doing the visual novel because we want to, and because we have fun working together on it, so we can't complain.

The thing is that we need to have some jobs that are really exhausting to be able to keep us from normal, which doesn't leave us all the time we want to work on the novel.

So don't be too hard on us if in any update we take a little longer to publish content.

About the visual novel.

We are generally happy with how the visual novel is working right now, but we are going to make some changes.

We're going to do a reboot.

Now I'll explain.

Currently the novel is set up so that there are paths or routes with each character, but that won't be the case anymore.

Instead, we are going to create a more "linear" story.

The reason for this need comes from the fact that the characters really have a great background, much more than what you see at first glance and if we make a content per route, you would lose a lot of vital information about the other characters.

We want you to get to know all the characters well and fall in love with them, so that in the end, you can choose who you like the most.

There is a system of scoring likes with the characters that increases according to the decisions you make with them.

In the future, these "likes" may unlock some extra spicy scenes, but...

Not everything will be happiness, you will have to be careful, because some decisions can be very important and if you choose to do certain things with one, you may not be able to choose another at the end of the adventure, so be careful.

Thanks to doing the content per route that we have been doing so far, it has allowed us to have more time to be able to advance work to offer much more content.

In the last update, available on patreon, we have "merged Toki's and Matt's routes" a little bit so we can start again in the next one.

In the next version we will reset and start again with the prologue (Day 1).

In essence it will be the same, although there are some small changes in the story.

It has more content without a doubt, because we have written it better and also we have doubled the amount of text, to be able to give more depth to the characters, especially to some like Randy who literally went unnoticed at all.

The dream will remain the same but it will no longer lead to routes, but to a more linear story as I said.

However, depending on who you choose you will get 5 points with that character, which can become important in the future, because if you do not reach the minimum required by a certain character, maybe you can not stay with him.

On the other hand, if you are wondering what will happen with day 2, the answer is simple, it will arrive for another update and its content will be a fusion of what you have been able to see in the different routes, to ensure cohesion.
