Hey guys! If you haven't seen the full vlog from our NYC trip, make sure to check that out here: https://youtu.be/fmBEnR2cge8.

Above is the full video of Tom and McQ speaking before the movie started at the premiere. It was so fun to hear them talk about the actors and the special connection they each had. This whole experience still feels like a dream. Hope you enjoy!

Cassie Tremblay

Also, hoping to get full reaction to "The Equalizer" up tonight!

Zane From Canada

They really are "The Right Stuff" 😁

Brian McGovern

I wish TC was as nice in real life as he seems to be in public, but unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case. Still, not going to let that stop me from watching his films. The guy makes great movies.

Bill Maurer

Saw your Vlog on the whole trip. Great Falls International Airport!!! Been a long, long time since I was last there.

Sage Antone

You've never met him. They have. Stop regurgitating internet bromides.

Brian McGovern

You have likely never met me and therefore have no idea who I have and have not met. I will say what I want to say, when I want to say it.

Neil Varma

Proud of you gals

Uncle Phoenix

So I heard a rumor that the Screen Actors Guild doesn’t want anymore beautiful Youtube reactors going to anymore movie premiers. In fact, they want to ban Youtube reactors from ever being able to join the SAG if they go to anymore movie premiers during the strike. They sounded a little jealous; and a little hypocritical considering that SAG members are allowed to go to SciFi, Comic book, and other conventions while the strike is going on.

Justin (CaptainProton)

Incredible! From the bed to an actual Hollywood movie premiere. The two of you truly, truly deserved this opportunity and it was great to see you experience it to the fullest on your VLOG! Now we know even movie stars enjoy your content as much as we do. Here's to your continued success. Excited for wherever this grand adventure takes you next!

KevG

Cassie and Carly brought beauty and fire to that premiere. All I can say is WOW!!!! Great interview questions. Plus you gals didn't know if you would actually meet Tom Cruise and when it happened you gals were completely ready. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME JOB Ladies.

Armchair Wizard

I think that is nothing more than a rumor. The official stance of SAG and the writers guild is that we continue using streaming services and goin to theaters and not boycotting them, because that will put more people out of work and can be used as justification by the companies to further cut funding. Most strikers say this. Instead, spread awareness of their cause and don't let the companies control the narrative.

KevG

Even Tom Cruise gets why we all watch PIB. You both brighten our day so much it can't be measured. It's official, TOM CRUISE IS A KERNEL FOR LIFE. Now he can retire and ride off into the sunset.

Armchair Wizard

I spoke too soon. I just saw an article about what you're talking about. It appears they aren't anti youtuber, but they are threatening people who go to premiers. Which I think is silly.

Richard Bourne

I am impressed with this premiere. Looks like it was done very well and both Tom and Chris seemed to be very accessible to the fans.

Wesley White

This was so fun to watch! I'm glad you and sweet lovely Carly had a great time in NYC and while attending this premiere! I don't blame you or Carly for being so nervous, it was like how I was with my friend when we went to the Hollywood premiere of The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies back in 2014! Though I didn't walk the red carpet like you two did, but I was there on the edge of it as the cast and crew walked by signing autographs and taking pics with fans! I met Andy Serkis (Gollum), Evangeline Lilly (Tauriel) I kissed her hand lol, Philipa Boyens (Screenplay/Writer & Co-Producer), Jed Brophy (Nori the dwarf), Richard Armitage (Thorin), Graham McTavish (Dwalin the dwarf), Lee Pace (Thranduil the Elven King) and of course Orlando Bloom (Legolas)! They were all very nice and I got signatures from most of them on my Middle-Earth poster, and I got a pic with Evangeline Lilly! I did see Elijah Wood (Frodo), Billy Boyd (Pippin) and of course Peter Jackson himself, but I was so star struck I missed my chance to get a pic or signature from them, dang it lol! So I don't blame you or Carly for being nervous! I'm glad Tom Cruise was polite and kind to you and Carly and was nice enough to take a photo with you both, that makes me smile! I'm so glad you two had fun and it was an experience you both will never forget! Once again I have to say, you and Carly just looked absolutely breathtaking in the dresses you two picked out, my heart was throbbing a few times after seeing how beautiful you two looked lol! Safe travels back home from Montana, love and support always, you and Carly are the absolute best, see you next time, and as always [snaps fingers & winks] stay classy Cassie (and Carly) lol!🥰😁😉👍🌹

Ike

What can I say - the man is gracious, talented, fearless, charismatic, good-looking, and ageless. My girlfriend (now fiancé) and I just watched this together and I’ve been told I need to step up the way I dress. LOL. Apparently I could also moisturize more and be a lot more grateful to people at work. Thanks Tom! Seriously, what an opportunity you two have had! Every-single-bit of what Tom and Chris said about you two is spot on though “charming” doesn’t begin to cover it all. Whatever it is, we need more of it in the world and you two are leading the way. 🙂 Thanks for sharing this! It made our night.

djKENTO

how’d y’all like watching a movie from a balcony. It’s a different experience for sure.

Philip Herman

Congrats and thanks for taking us along for the ride. Loved that when you met him he seemed genuinely starstruck to be meeting the PIB’s🤩

Brian McGovern

The girls are the envy of the movie reaction corner of YouTube. 😀 while studios are trying to take videos of reactors down from the internet, these girls are being invited by the studios to watch them.

resinmonkey .

Two Cinderella sisters go to the Big Apple to meet their prince. Did you lose your glass slippers while you were there? I really enjoyed watching your trip. It looked like you had a great time. What a marvelous treat for you!☺

Clifton Owens

I kept waiting to see if Cassie & Carly sneaked any Canadian Candy into the theater. They looked like Angels, but I think there's a little bit of bad girls in them both. We need to ask their Mom.

Uncle Phoenix

As a former union coal miner, I have to say this SAG strike is very confusing. Why do you call for a union strike at the exact moment all of the studios and streaming houses go broke. Amazon and Disney are not being shy about how broke they are, in fact hardly a day goes by when one of the two isn't publicly talking about “Cost Containment”. So if the SAG strike does go before a Judge for arbitration, the Union is going to lose. Secondly, how is AI any different from all the other automation technologies that have destroyed union manufacturing and mining jobs in the past? Don’t you remember ten years ago when Hollywood and the media told union coal miners to “Learn To Code”. We were called luddites and relics for not embracing “the Future”. Why is this any different?

WastedPo

Lee, I feel like AI is a bit different from those things. Creative work is valuable specifically because it comes from human beings. Storytelling and artistic expression has value because of its humanity. When you hear a Stevie Wonder album, or see Michael Jackson dance, you're seeing another human being trying to convey their own lived experience, and trying to make a connection with other people. The use of AI reduces art to just pure, soulless "product" and all pretense of humanity goes out the window. Yes, a record exec could dump real human artists, and conjure up a CGI video of a dancer contorting its body in ways that Michael Jackson, or any human, could never dream of. But it wouldn't be the same, and I personally would have no interest in engaging in such a thing. The second reason I find this so concerning is because other advances in tech and societal shifts have created new jobs. However, AI threatens to eliminate the majority of jobs and replace them with almost nothing, all so a few executives can get even MORE money. It's a really bad tradeoff. The trend towards AI is only going to widen the economic disparity between the 1% and the 99%. To frame this as simply progress is playing right into the hands of the billionaires. All of this might not be quite as disastrous if we had a different type of system with better built-in safety nets for people, but we don't. We live in late stage capitalism where if people don't work constantly, they're pretty much screwed.

Uncle Phoenix

I think that you have a very skewed view of the “Creative Arts”. How many “artists” died broke, because of the horrible industry that promoted drug addiction and alcoholism, and the near indentured servitude of legal contracts? For instance, why does a single song have At Least Six different Intellectual Properties attached to it? Could it be to enrich “the billionaires” and not the individual artist? Why does Taylor Swift find it necessary to ReMastering her old song catalog? The Billionaires already own the six or seven media companies that own all media. Who is really scared of lowering the threshold for producing Intellectual Property? Who would lose the most if the market was suddenly filled with third party I.P. creators using AI to create narratives that don’t fit the Mainstream Narrative?

Mark Vaderr

The look on Cruise's face when he recognized Carly was priceless. I dare say that both he and McQuarrie were just as star struck as you two were.

WastedPo

I really don't understand where you're coming from. The majority of the people on strike are not rich. They're not the Taylor Swifts of the world. If you're not enamored with rich people, then you should really be siding with the unions who are only looking to get enough salary to pay for health insurance. They're looking for livable wages, not trying to get their third mansion. AI is doing to hurt those people, not the executives. Presumably you do find value in art and movies or else you wouldn't be here. All of the movies that Cassie watches were produced by human artists. And Cassie herself is a human. We watch her because we like to feel connected to others. Would you find the same value in watching a fully CGI video produced by an algorithm? What if Cassie wasn't an actual person, but just an AI trying to replicate what it thinks a real human reactor would say? I know I wouldn't pay for that.

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

Hope you both had a great time and I really hope you both get invited to many more film premieres!

Uncle Phoenix

My point is that AI is an automation TOOL. AI doesn’t work for itself. AI doesn’t do anything of its own WILL and/ or VOLITION. Will it change the current system? Yes, of course; but it will always have a human behind it. When computers changed animation; and steroids changed live action super hero movies there were always humans behind it. Both computers and steroids put people out of work and forever destroyed their jobs. But “Life Will Find A Way”, and now we have an entire industry of raw humanity called Influencers and Reactors. The public has gotten so sick of cookie cutter pop stars that now people like us are willing to pay good money for access to real raw human reactions from Cassie and Carly. It personally offends me when the SAG tries to control people outside their union. They are acting like an out of control Home Owners Association.

Roger Wayne Alms

You guys deserved this. You are so nice and fun to watch. your reactions are genuine and touching to watch.

WastedPo

Well, I do feel that AI is a bit different than those other changes in that it will unemploy far more people than it will employ. But I do see your point about how silly it is that ordinary reactors are afraid to do reactions. To be fair, I think a lot of that trepidation is due to no one really being sure what's going on. There are some reactors who actually are a part of SAG or WGA, and I think they got specific instructions that for them to do reactions wouldn't be kosher. Maybe the other "regular people" reactors are either trying to show solidarity, or they're getting confused with the aforementioned instructions to union members. I don't think the unions are trying to dictate *everyone's* content.
