Hey, Cassie!! Patrick Swayze was actually a professional dancer before becoming an actor, so he could really do all those dances! Yes, these places used to exist. the screenwriter based it on her summers as a kid Yes, I was ready to revoke your "chick-flick" card, but seeing your reactions was so worth it!! Some of my favorites: 1. "What's the meringue? Isn't that a pie?!" 2. "She's gonna make 2 first moves? I'm so proud of her!" 3. "Awkward turtle!" Never heard that expression before!! 4. "She's rrrreally changed in 10 days!" 5. Robby's beat down. "he deserved that!" 6. "What does the towel on the door mean?" 7. Baby's speech to her dad. 8. "This can't be the end, they didn't do the lift!" 9. "Nobody puts Baby in a corner!" 10. Your whole reaction to the final dance 💃 Your reaction was everything I hoped it'd be!!

Hey Cass. I just found it so funny how in your outro you commented on how good the chemistry between Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey was. Honestly, that's usually the one observation literally everyone makes after seeing this movie. It will probably shock you to hear that they actually did not get along with each other at all during production. I've seen interviews with Jennifer Grey where she claims the tension between the two of them boardered on hatred. It wasn't till years after the movie that the two of them finally developed some respect and admiration for each other that they finally mended fences and became friends. Anyhow, loved the reaction, so glad you enjoyed it!

Some further trivia: She's Like the Wind, the song playing during Johnny and Baby's separation, was not only sung but also co-written by Patrick Swayze. The Dirty Dancing soundtrack was released as an album and was a huge mega-hit. Famously, the ticklish/laughing scene was unscripted; that was Jennifer Grey actually laughing during the filming. And even better, Patrick Swayze's exasperation with her was equally genuine.

I have a funny story: When I was in elementary school, they posted these huge horizontal posters all over the school that highlighted a big celebrity at the time with whatever message they were pushing. They changed them out every month, and when a new one was installed, they gave away the old one by a random drawing to students. Well, I won one of those posters and the celebrity on mine was… Patrick Swayze. And yes, I hung that huge poster in my bedroom; it took up almost the entire wall. This is so embarrassing, but I used to practice kissing by kissing Patrick on that poster. Oh, those innocent days… LOL Patrick Swayze was one of my first big celebrity crushes when I was younger and starting to like boys. I’ve seen this movie so many times, it’s ridiculous! My girlfriends and I were OBSESSED when it came out! So glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you for finally watching it :)

I don’t think I have ever seen Cassie so happy as during the last dance. That was a real treat. Not one of my favorite movies but watching Cassie’s reaction was pure joy. Has Carly seen this movie? If not it was be worth a second reaction.
