***MOVIE SPOILERS BELOW***

Ok FINALLY here is  my Ghostbusters Afterlife reaction. I know streaming is quite possible with this yet (I think it's available to rent starting Feb 1st?) but this is for those of you who have purchased it already. We recorded this a while ago in the theatre and as always the theatre experience is great! Don't mind the jumbo popcorn and drink ha! We were using this one as a sort of test for a few things for the Spider-man theatre reaction so we didn't invite friends and family, so I ended up having the place to myself. There are still a few little technical fixes we will make to the next one! It's difficult to capture dialogue in a theatre where it's VERY loud, so my voice is isolated and does sound a bit robotic at times, but you get the gist of what I'm saying!

Ok now the movie! This was so great and so fun for me. I seriously got teary seeing the original guys show up and even the little callbacks and nods to the original films they put in. It was nostalgic without recycling anything. I loved the new characters, Paul Rudd was so great and how could you not love Phoebe and Podcast:) It was cool to see how they put a kid angle on this without being too cheesy, but also not taking it too serious. Also, I DID end up watching the end credit scenes. The first one I missed because my bladder was going to explode and I wasn't recording as I watching the 2nd one :( - but I did see them!

Ps-my mom told me after that this was mostly all filmed in a little town 20 minutes away from where I'm from and have spent a ton of time there, I can't wait to re-watch again knowing that!

the entrance to Spengler's house were quotes from the Bible.

Loved it, loved your reaction. This might be the most worthy sequel to any movie from 80s ever made.

Enjoyed your theatrical watchalong, though I was a little sad you weren’t able to include the 2 end credit scenes. I would have loved to see your reaction! I do understand your reason though. In early 2020, my brother-in-law told me that they filmed this near his family farm in Drumheller, Alberta during summer 2019. (I lived and worked near there in the early 90s). Just got this from the web: “Principal photography for the film began mid-July 2019 in Calgary, with shooting on-location in Drumheller and surrounding areas — including Dorothy, Horsethief Canyon, and Bleriot Ferry — along with Fort Macleod beginning shortly thereafter in July and August…”

I think I might be the only person in the world who enjoyed the 2016 version more than this one :S *ducks airborne shoes*

Cujo (the movie about the killer dog) is a real movie!

Tyler Foster

You aren't! I like this one, but definitely thought the 2016 movie was slightly better thanks to consistency (this new one was great for the first 2/3 and then the ending didn't work for me).

Doc Savage

Awesome watch!!! I definitely got "the feels" with the end.

Patrick Blondin

Imagine if Disney had made the Sequel Trilogy like that instead of what they ended up doing.

G

I haven't seen this one yet. I want to see it first before watching Cassie's reaction.

Robin T

I mean... isn't this exactly what they did with the sequel trilogy? The way they frame the new generation and their relationship to the barely remembered legends of the old is strikingly similar. The biggest difference is this one doesn't trip over its shoelaces in the last act.

This was alot better. Great job in your setup.

Just subbed. Why are the videos blurred? :(

copyright issues. You can't show a whole movie on Youtube, Vimeo, etc. And it states before you sign up that you have to have your own copy to follow along.

That's why the top section of the page is about how people sync their videos. Most people are watching Cassie's reaction from this Patreon site and another video of the actual movie being reacted to. Look through that section and there are so many different ways people are watching.

Andrew T

Oh wow. Gozer *was* played by Olivia Wilde. Good catch.

Jeff Finley

Most of this movie was filmed in my hometown Drumheller Alberta. It was wild seeing Ecto-1 upclose.

Anthony Perez

Loved the movie and your reaction. It was a pleasure to see someone who is as messy as I at eating POPCORN> Cassie is a POPCORN eating MACHINE!
