Hey everyone! Here is the full reaction to episodes 7 & 8. Hope you enjoy! I don't want to spoil the reaction for you, so I've included chapters for you to jump to my thoughts!

**The timer is in slow motion so you'll have to sync via the video in the beginning of the episodes, sorry about that! I am curious though, how many of you use the timer to help sync?

Doubting Thomas

I def have been using the timer. Not sure how many others make use of it, but I thought that's how it was done...🤔

Rumpus Parable

I find the timer helpful and use the blurred scene changes to fine tune since my files or streaming are usual. a smidge different. It’s a helpful bonus. I find a lot of smiles in Jaynestown with mostly the crew's reaction and especially the showing of the growing closeness/admissions of Simon to Kaylee despite how he keeps screwing up. His last explanation on how he gets stiff because he likes her is sweet, but what reall between them from him tat hits home for me is that he tresses that she’s mot petty whe she’s covered in engine grease…. Speaks to it not just being “Kaylee is a pretty girl” but rather “I find *Kaylee* pretty”. Overall, though, Jaynestown despite the mix o laughs and drama is low on my ranking of episodes. Out of Gas for sooooo many reasons is my favorite or tied with War Stories. The drama and interweaving of the three timelines, cinematography, original to present development of crew shown… all makeme love it. On the smile side again for me it’s most Kaylee related. I love how she’s introduced as it fits and reaffirms her character s ouch: she from episode 1 has been a mix of sweet, sexual, and knowledgeable innocent…. And we meet her having sex, reacting totally unashamed, immediately work-oriented, and giddy at the idea of shipping out. How sad she gets over worrying she was maybe not listening close to Serenity, too… (when we know how much she loves the ship). At every turn she shows herself ultimately “pure of heart”. On the sad/stress end their choice in doing a first-person-view for Mal trying to make it to the cockpit was a decision I loved and was impressed with the first and really every time I see it. Whether or not you’ve been in such a physical trial-and-goal it grabs. I can’t speak for anyone else for sure, but from my own experience I’d guess for any of us that have the way they shot that sequence conveyed the reality pretty darn well. Love how invested you’ve gotten in the crew and their life(ves). I’m really loving your reaction to what life brings them!

You may not get the view for it, but you liking Firefly makes me know that you're my kind of people, the best

Cassie's setup is the best that I've seen on Patreon. The timer and the blur allow me to sync things up perfectly.

The timer is VERY helpful even when it doesnt match my time I can remember the offset and find my spot!

JRCortez

Don't use the timer. I prefer to "play it by eye" ;^)

William

The timer helps a lot

Firefly not getting YouTube views?? That's very surprising

Out of Gas is by far my favorite episode. the origin stories and the intensity are amazing but my favorite part is we get a rare view of Mals vulnerabilities when hes all loopy from the medication. At his core hes only concerned with the wellbeing of this little family hes put together.

thank-you so much for reacting to this. Love "Out of Gas". One of the best episodes of any show.

Out of Gas is one of my favourite episodes glad you liked it to, love all the flash backs. Surprised it’s not getting the views on YouTube so glad you’re sticking with it. I also think you need to do a cover of the theme song lol.
