Woah this was so not what I expected! I was picturing the Tom Cruise movie where he's in the future and a lot of white?? This movie had a lot of my fears in it and recent fears (I bought a rain barrel and iodine pills) anyways, it was gripping every second and Dakota Fanning was amazing and I thought it was really good but I'll never watch it again haha!

The lesson H.G. Wells was trying to convey is just how fragile the human really is, but how resilient our bodily systems have become. But Robbie was a total idiot.

It's a near masterpiece. I wish they could go in and edit the son right out of the whole film. And that Tim Robbins scene never really worked that well. Cruise and Fanning were both terrific. I do not rate it as high as the classic 1953 film or the original novel by HG Wells, both of which I feel are genuine masterpieces.
