This was such an interesting episode! I love how we got to see all of their personalities or what their personalities would be like if they were their original selves. Plus we got to learn some more about the other characters' backstories which I've been wanting to see. Finding out about Melly's daughter broke my heart. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds!

My suspicion is that Paul's feelings for Echo, solving the case, rescuing Caroline, etc have all become a little conflated in his mind. It may have started out as him just trying to bring down the Dollhouse but now all those feelings are getting more complicated for him. He doesn't even really know that much about Caroline and yet he's sorta put her up on this damsel in distress -type pedestal. I'd also just like to say that you are so emotionally intelligent, Riley, that it's kinda bonkers. Watching you figure out all the character motivations, feelings, etc is always very satisfying. You always seem very tuned in to what's going on in their heads and on the actor's faces.

yeaaa this is one of my favs... you picked up on what was happening way before me i admit lmao i really thought Echo broke the test by staying behind the first time I watched it. I was convinced they escaped and the rest of the season would be the Caroline teaming with Paul to take them down. Best episode of the season so far?
