I feel like I repeated myself alot in the outro for this lol but I really did enjoy this first episode. I can't believe I got what one of the things I wanted right in the first episode! Buffy getting a job at the school is perfect and sets up the possibility for more episodes there in the future so I'm excited. Really interested in whats going on with Spike and that thing that kept changing into all the villains (which was really cool btw!) from the show.

Yay! Welcome to season 7! It was great seeing your reactions to the morphing villains sequence at the end. Spike was Hostile17 in the Initiative, remember? I love the idea of coming full circle back to the high school with the last season and as far as Principal Wood goes....it's inconclusive atm. He is quite charming and very handsome though so he could definitely be evil. Or not. Dawn's finally getting to act and be treated like a teenager instead of a little kid sister which is nice to see. When Giles asked Willow if she wanted to be punished and she said she just wanted to be Willow, that broke my heart. She feels like she's lost herself. I think Angel spent close to the first hundred years or so after he got his soul back basically living in the shadows, avoiding humans and eating rats before Whistler showed him Buffy. So I'm guessing Spike's having a hard time dealing with reality just months after having his soul returned. And you're right, we don't know what the big ancient power is that's on the rise or who it's messing with. And it's all about power.
