Since you mention wanting to rewatch 'Restless' (season 4 finale), I just wanted to pop in and say that I, for one, would really enjoy seeing your rewatch!

I wanted to like S6. I really did. I liked the idea of Buffy having human nemesesseeez. It's a tough problem--the police can't take care of it because the means are supernatural, and Buffy can't fully deal with it because the perps are human. It was an interesting idea to have her being pulled out of heaven instead of hell. Willow made a good end boss, but her whole season leading up to it was so melodramatic and soapy, and Xander was behaving so grossly, and Spike and Buffy had the distinct tinge of Joss being annoyed that the character was so popular and he had to be knocked down a peg or two... it was just wearying by about episode 10, and it took a lot of work to get me to care what was going on because a vibrant show about interesting people had turned into a kind of weird supernatural Afterschool Special. Even the writing got bad every time they delved into Willow's "addiction" plot, and poor Alyson Hannigan got shoved into a place where she was overacting and grabbing for any kind of thread that made sense of what was happening. (And on a minor level, the whole "Baby" thing... calling Tara "Baby" all the time. I felt like I was listening to her do an impression of a creepy trucker who'd picked up a hitchhiker.) I disliked it so much that I ended up trying to come up with a re-write of every character arc to try and keep the things that were interesting and lose the bloody melodrama at every turn. That said, its high points were really high. Once More With Feeling is the best musical episode ever. Tabula Rasa was fabulous. Xander saving the day simply by loving his oldest friend was terrific. There were other things I wanted to like. "Normal Again" is always so good in concept that when I start watching it again, I forget that I didn't like it in actual execution. Xander's plot line had a lot of potential to really explore his character, but it was mostly squandered in a single episode. Willow going on a power trip after bringing Buffy back was absolutely in her character wheelhouse if they just hadn't mucked it up with the whole heavy-handed "Magic is a drug" thing.
