This was a cool episode! I wasn't expecting a time jump but I kind of liked it. So we have Paul back now and it seems like they have put a plan into motion to take down the dollhouse. I'm so excited to see how that unfolds. Also I can't believe Adele betrayed us the way she did! I was shocked lol

As for the time jump: others will correct me if I'm misremembering, but I think it was around now they'd been told they were getting cancelled at the end of the season, so they had to start moving the plot along...

The whole when Caroline is put back does Echo go away, aren't Echo and Caroline the same person can be debated to various degrees. I hold that they are not the same person. I mean, Mellie isn't Madeline and Madeline isn't November. Though it does get complicated, because November is (Mostly) a blank slate/nobody. Mellie was a personality put in her, and Madeline was the original person. And Echo isn't a blank slate of Caroline. She has evolved into a conglomeration of many personalities. AND (even before that) fragments of Caroline were in there still. Though that part seems to be the case of all the actives. Fragments or shadows or the original self. Because as Caroline said (think it was the first episode) when told she get a clean slate, asked if Dewitt had ever seen a cleaned slate, there is always the image of what was on there before. But that's on all actives, and is not the entire personality. Alpha is in love with Echo, but not Caroline and wanted to kill Caroline. Bennet does call Echo Caroline, but she wants to torture Caroline and so she needs to see Echo as Caroline.
