Here's some behind the scenes stuff for the TIE Fighter opening movie I'm doing. I couldn't just use 3D ships from the game because they don't render out as black and white lines well, so I had to model or heavily adjust my own, to make sure everything had defined edges that the filter would pick up for me to color frame by frame after. I also got the cockpits in there, kind of a mashup between the movies, the Star Wars Squadrons game and the cockpit layout you see in the TIE Fighter game.

So yes, this is making those dynamic flyby angles much easier! This is the same approach I'll be using for the big mech movie project, so it's all good learning experience!

Very cool! Just starting to learn Blender myself, your process stuff has inspired me, it's such a useful tool for an illustrator to have in their kit.

Wow! Those models are incredible! You modeled them all yourself? Where did you find the blueprints and.....that must have taken a long long time!!! Wowzers! Awesome stuff!
