Hello, all!

I went to a pre-opening of Arcade Club in Leeds on Wednesday, and it was a pretty excellent experience! Here's a video I took with my HIGH QUALITY phone, so come and relive the highlights with me!

A lot of good old memories here - I wasn't expecting to see so many "old" old games like Defender and Stargate - two I used to really enjoy on my Atari 2600 console when I didn't have access to arcades as a kid. Obviously Capcom's Alien Vs Predator was a welcome sight too! I spent a while on that. And the 1983 Star Wars cabinet with the vector graphics!

I figured I'd take some footage in case the place vanishes and this is the last time we see these newly-restored arcade cabinates in their rightful setting - purple neon lights and all.
It really did feel like the old days.

I miss the Arcade days playing side by side with my friends to beat the machine: AvP, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Captain Commando, D&D Towers of Doom, Knights of the Round, King of Dragons, .... Nowadays all is focused in online gaming and is not the same. :( Fortunately we can play to those great games with MAME up to 4 Players at home :)
