Good weekend to you all!

I've been hard at work, pretty much crunching non-stop, but here's a couple of rough things I think I can show. I've been experimenting with using a 3D helmet on my 2D protagonist, because the helmet is a bit tricky to draw from various angles so I just modelled it in Cinema 4D and stuck it on her head.

Please note that these scenes are unfinished and she will actually have mouth movement and lip synch. Thanks as always to producer Maki for coaching me on the character acting and the jump timing (it'll make sense when you see the finished film)! We redid this one a bunch of times until it looked right.

This film is almost completely roughed out now, animation-wise, and I can start actually inking and colouring it, so get ready for lots of streams if you feel like joining me. The voice acting by @SaraSecoraVO is in place and sounding really good, actually! Anyway, I won't spoil anything...

Hope you're having a good one, and I'll see you all later on!

Paul

Nice just when I was wondering about updates.

Ah yis! Love the character animation, and the 3D composite is seamless. I wouldn't have know it was a 3D element unless you said so Paul. It's surprising that professional animation studio's still can't integrate 3D elements into 2D properly.
