Hey lovely peeps,

It's been so much these past few days. 

We wanted to share it all with you. But we did not leave you an update with more uncertainty.

It's been 2 weeks of talking to our insurance. It's difficult to solve a situation like we are in, on such a remote island in regard to resources to repair the damages to CUBA.

There is only one yard available and it will be booked for an unforeseen time. Professionals on the island are busy since hurricane season will end soon. Everyone is getting their boat ready for the new season to come. 

The insurance pressed that we had to pay for the repairs in advance. This wasn't stated in the contract. 

Our only wish to be able to move quickly and repair our home was met with a mountain of bureaucracy. 

Guys, heads up, we are smiling again.

We got the damage report and things are looking good. We are just waiting for another email for confirmation tomorrow due to the time difference. So we can upload a video update tomorrow and explain everything in more detail.

So, it took this long to be able to make sense of it all and which options we have. On the way to find the answers and what is possible here in Aruba, we had some truly wonderful encounters with locals. 

We gained a truly wonderful first impression of Aruba.

Guys, are now met with choices. Whatever decision we make, we will make it with you.

You have become our community, our family. We think and speak of you and we smile.

We are sailing together. Making memories. Taking care of each other.

This is the reason we could not tell you much of what is happening before. We were just so scared. We hardly slept. We were told we could lose CUBA, and that we would lose you guys as well. We could not tell you all of this

You are our family. We did not want to make you feel sad.

Look, we are smiling again. It's gonna be good. Its gonna be - back in the wild - again.
