It's been a super busy week and most of it was spent with my head in the engine room. πŸ₯΅

So relaxing in this small, shallow tidal pool on a deserted island before sunset was just the perfect way to cool off! πŸ€—

I gotta say though, getting to this spot wasn't all too easy since the Atlantic swells reach around the small isle and there was no beach to land the dinghy. 🌊

Instead, we timed our approach and jumped onto the rocks, then lifted and carefully carried the dinghy to a corner where the rugged shoreline and harsh swells wouldn't destroy it....

Between Large Island, where this picture was taken and Frigate Island, where CUBA was anchored lies a channel almost half a mile wide where the current can accelerate to more than 2 knots.

Therefore, swimming back to CUBA would not have been an option πŸ˜… and phone reception does not reach the island either πŸ˜±πŸ“΅....

Luckily, we got back from this little adventure before dark and I am thrilled to share this memento with you. πŸ₯°

 Much love,

~ Salsa

So glad you like it Phil!! πŸ€—πŸ₯° Just behind the rocks, the waves were bashing but the pool was like a bathtub. Perfect to cool off. 😊
