Today I came across an interesting article about the effects of sailing and how beneficial it is for our wellbeing.

It has always fascinated me how our environment influences our mood and health. And that oftentimes we are not actively noticing what does us well and what doesn't.

Because sailing isn't all too comfortable most of the time. You get tossed around, splashed, weather can and will be challenging and if you are exhausted you cannot just press pause.

But it is exactly this relentless movement and the exposure to the elements that brings our bodies and minds back into balance.

Because after a few days out at sea with little more sounds than the wind and waves around one slowly begins to adjusts to the motion. And what felt exhausting at first now turns into a soothing rolling that one is no longer fighting against but kind of settling into.

And the stress and worries of the day seem to dissappear behind the horizon as SV CUBA cuts through the waves.

It took us many years and a lot of hard work to come this far but moments like this make it all worthwhile. 😊

- I'm wishing you all a beautiful and well-balance day!
