Is “Masturbation” a shortened version of my suggestion or a common tag you decided to include? My suggestion was “Vehicle, Building, and/or Landform Masturbation” btw.

My suggestion was intended to prompt a bunch of scenarios about giants doing sexy things with cars, skyscrapers, mountains, etc. The theme being just “masturbation” has different connotations, and will prompt more conventional scenarios that we’ve already seen multiple times from you guys (especially in these patreon polls). If I had known you were going to change my suggestion, I would have submitted something else entirely. The creator changing user submissions defeats the purpose of them being user submitted. I get wanting these themes to be flexible and allow other users room to be creative, but specificity and limitations aren’t antithetical to that. In fact, certain kinds of limitations can enhance creativity, while prompts that are too open ended can stifle it. The excessively open nature of the previous system was a big part of the reason it failed and needed reworking. This new system’s greatest strength over the old one is that it lets us set guidelines for the scenario suggestion phase ahead of time, and do so fluidly. Giving us the ability to suggest and vote in more restrictive themes can serve as a mechanism to counteract concept overuse and give more niche or outside-the-box ideas a chance to at least compete. So long as a suggested theme allows for a decent variety of possible scenarios, I think it should be included in the poll unaltered. There is nothing to be gained from enforced generality. Sorry for the text wall, this just bothered me.
