A few days ago I posted the last photo on the Internet. I got many comments saying that it's AI generated forest and not a real one because it's impossible for the trees to look this way. This is why I wanted to show you a before version.

Although those comments were a bit hurtful, they inspired me to try the new AI generator in Photoshop. Before that I only tried the midjourney generator just for fun and not even on my own photos or myself. I was affraid that it would demotivate me from continue to learn because I knew I'll never be as good as a computer. So yesterday I think it was the right time to try it on my own photos.

I downloaded the beta version of Photoshop (like I said I never used it so I didn't know what to expect). I was wondering what this whole fuss is about. If people said it could generate this beautiful and magical forest, what else could it do?

I tried on the photo with my dog first. When taking that photo I knew I wanted to paste a mountain in the backgroud. This gave me a perfect opportunity to try and generate it. I thought about using one of my photos and do it manually like I always do.

Anyway, the results were pretty awesome. Of course some were worse than others but it did well. I thought about posting the first photo on social media and see if people will recognize it. I don't know if I'll be using that often (maybe for some little tweakments like hair etc.). I am still very sceptical about the impact it will have on my photos. I love what I do now and I am so affraid I could loose the passion and creativity.

Are you okay with AI? I know every editing software is based on some kind of AI and it was long before this new, more intelligent form. I want to know your thoughts and maybe I could soon form my own opinion and make some really important boundaries of how far can I take it.

Love, Erinthul.

My last comment... maybe 😉 You said it all in the title of this post. AI in art... I mainly use AI to speed up the processing time, to help enhance the lighting and colouring/depth of the image. I've done some sky and background replacement too. The biggest change I've made to a photo, is a daytime photo of an abandoned home, and the sky all with white, Bland clouds. I changed that to a night time image, with the Milky Way in the sky. I just wanted to see what AI could do. I was impressed
