Now that Jiz has decided to create the water mark in the tolerable range, I will archive my actual comment. (Old comment of mine: Uhm.. So we pay now for a version with even a bigger watermark? That's not the point behind Patreon. We pay for Early Access, not for "NOT PUBLISHED". The whole thing just devalues your comic.).

I think a better way of handling the watermark in the future would be to do what Fluff-Kevlar does, where the "UNRELEASED" text sits on the bottom black border. That way, it doesn't disrupt the visuals while also being obvious and easy to spot. That approach would still discourage thieves by signaling to unwitting readers of leaked pages that they're not supposed to access this material yet. I strongly recommend the Fluff-Kevlar approach overall. Loving the comic so far!

I think it's a good idea, but probably put it in a place where it can't be erased with a smaller size and less obvious opacity, there is a person on youtube who literally cuts the whole black strip at the bottom and this seems too much to me. thanks for your comment.

Yea, I could see Jiz keeping it there for at least a couple weeks beforehand. The complaints were valid, but so petty at the same time because some bad apples aren't being cool to the artist here and respecting his wishes to keep this under wraps.

Like in effect, yes, we're paying for the goods, but the leakers are undermining US by giving out the paid content or more to see for free. And of course wasting Jiz's efforts to maintain the whole Patreon structure by ruining that exclusivity. /End rant.

Yeah, I remember another artist with a slow build release just dropping his one story line all together because of leaks like this. What folks fail to realize is the toll this can take, along with the demoralizing nature of it. You give folks what they want, they don’t respect you enough to abide by those guidelines and it winds up hurting everyone. Just don’t leak the footage. This is content you’re paying for whole some jerk is putting out there for the non-payers so you’re effectively being harmed by it with massive watermarks. It’s that simple a concept.
