The lights in the chamber brighten. Dmitri blinks several times as his sensitive cybernetic eyes automatically adjust to the new light level.

"Needed some backup, did you Kalen?" Dmitri mocks,  "Can't handle me all on your own?"

Kalen's face darkens. He opens his mouth to retort but the other man raises his right hand in a quelling motion. Kalen huffs but says nothing.
