Questions and Answers of 2017 (TLDR) (Patreon)

Hey everyone, it's been a very, very, very long time since I made an update on the new chapter on "My Girlfriend's a Hex Maniac" so I might as well come clear with you all since you deserve answers, so I'll summarize what happened in 2017.

First of all, I started the drafts on the story early January last year and I had a good momentum with my work. It was still rough so major tweaking have been made during the entire process. 

But a month later, my mom was sent to the hospital and she stayed there for three days until she was admitted again in March. I still work on the story during that time however but the struggles were increasing so I helped out as much as I could. A month later, she passed away in April 3, 2017, and all my focus was lost during in the rest of the month. The story was completed at the time but the progress was halted for obvious reasons.

I didn't have any motivations to draw until late June on that year.  During that time, I asked for help with a friend of mine to assist me on making storyboards and ask for proper dialogue for the chapter so we can get things done quicker. She made the process on making the chapter a bit easier to handle and progress was going smoothly during the time. The sketches were done, and I finished outlining and shading all of the pages up until everything was finished in August. 

But after the release we started to make another draft in September, so we can get things done quicker since we agree to help each other. Halfway  through the month, we stopped for two reasons: financial and technical. Although, the true culprit for lacking any production of the new chapter was motivation and a lack of focus. My motivation was gone and I just focus unrelated work and commissions, and ignore most/some Patreon related content through the rest of the year in 2017 which was a big mistake on my part. 

This year I got my motivation back, and any lingering doubts are gone. Hence the reason why I started a monthly rewards to keep my motivation to work up and be more active in Patreon, and Discord. But I'm still a bit inactive in Discord due to work >_>

And earlier this month, me and my friend got back together and started to work on the second chapter again and we're actually planning to release at least two more chapters this year as well. I read a lot of mangas/comics for the past few months and may have found da wae (no regrets) to draw the chapters much faster than last year.

The reason being why the last chapter took too long it's because I was making it very perfect and clean. So the work was more time consuming than expected. Hence the Frieza art, the SFW works, and the Ultra Insinct Shaggy sh*t post. Those were practice runs on getting the job quicker. I'm just hoping same could be said with the new chapter coming up. 

Take note. Yes I did pay her for her assistance in the story. She helped me big time and I'm thankful for her help. And we're planning to do so for the rest of 2018 and beyond : )
