Silver Roper Object (Patreon)

What is It?

This is a version of Silver Roper that attaches to objects instead of people.  It works much the same as the existing Roper plugin, but allows you to attach a rope from an empty to an object.  If you load a CUA, for example, you can enable Physics and enable Gravity when the controller is Off.  Then attach a rope and watch the object swing around!..?  I was putting together a scene and wanted a cage dangling from a rope with a character sitting in the cage.. it, uhhmm, didn't work :-P

What's Broken?

It turns out that in VaM, for whatever reason, when you enable gravity, collisions are disabled.  On top of that, character physics don't respond to colliders with gravity very well.  The plugin itself works, but it doesn't really serve the purpose I hoped it would.  And so, it ends up here for your amusement! :-D

Will it Ever get Fixed?

Nope.  The plugin does what it does, but I couldn't really find any useful application for it.  So there's not much to fix.  It's still fun to play with, but I wouldn't make it the centerpiece of your next scene. :-P
