WIP Updates, Tier Question, Randomness (Patreon)
Content
Happy Friday, All!
I have put a lot of time into new plugins over the past month. I think I've mentioned this before, but I will often start two or three new plugins at once. Most are very buggy, too complicated, or simply don't work. Sometimes one works reasonably well, so I polish it up and release it :).
That is all to say, I am planning to add a tier. Don't worry, this will not mean less content for the existing tier :). Here is what I'm thinking, and I'd appreciate your honest opinions:
The time I'm putting into VaM is eating into time I'd otherwise use for freelance work. So my thought is to add an "Experimental" tier for folks who want to offer a little extra support. In this tier, as a sort of fun bonus, I would release the buggy, complicated work-in-progress plugins. My process will be the same; Plugins that work well will get polished up and released to the existing tier, just as they always have. But it would give anyone who is really interested a peak at WIP stuff that might not otherwise see the light of day. I know it is weird to pay more for broken content :-P, but the idea is that the tier is for support and the content is just a fun "Thanks!" It's also possible, with enough support, I can spend more time on those experiments and some might find their way into the release pipeline.
Thoughts?
A more general note; I might post on Hub a little less frequently. Hub is great, this isn't in any way a reflection on it. It's more that knowing something will be seen by thousands of people, rather than hundreds, stresses me out :P It also means I might start releasing things to Patrons in an earlier state and post occasional updates. Then, when something feels ready, I'll go ahead and post on Hub.
Now a WIP update! I'm working on a set of tools for modifying mocap animations. I'm really excited about this! It's been very complicated and it may be a little time before I have something to share, but I'll try to post some progress updates along the way.
Phew, that was a long one! Thank you all so much for your support!!!
