Short Stories + Missions

Dive into the worlds of Grimdark Future and Age of Fantasy with our short stories, available now for Tier 1 and higher patrons! These stories give you taste of life and conflict in our settings and each comes with a matching playable mission available for Patrons!

February's Short Stories:

  • Grimdark Future -  Last to Leave by Pierre Mortel
  • Grimdark Future -  Jackpot by Pierre Mortel
  • Age of Fantasy - Torn From Home by Alexander Thompson
  • Age of Fantasy - Song of the Kad’wala by Pierre Mortel

Each Month we will release two more short stories and missions for our patrons to read. Later, the stories will be posted on our website without their missions, so be sure to download the stories and missions each month!

The latest missions have been released on Patreon, with a total of 8 missions for you:

  • Grimdark Future – Spiraling Escalation + Endless Swarm
  • GF: Firefight – Skyscraper Scrap + Ambassadors
  • Age of Fantasy – Haunted Realms + Mass Polymorph
  • AoF: Skirmish – Phoenix Migration + Rat Racing

These missions are focused on fun new ways to play, with interesting objectives and special rules to spice things up. We release new missions every month, so make sure to stick around so that you don’t miss any.

Note that whilst the missions are designed for each specific game, you can totally play them with the rules for any other game (with slight adjustments). This means that you have even more missions to play each month!

The new Ratmen and Blessed Sisters sets are available on Patreon.

These sets feature a ton of minis with front and back views in two different color schemes, as well as black & white. They also include black border versions of the minis, plus VTT tokens to play online.

At the top of post, you'll see some early previews of the what we are working on for March!

The Vampiric Undead Lord on Winged Terror is a powerful and agile monster that can cut easily through enemy infantry, while the Drained Archers flood the battlefield in a hail of arrows. For the High Elf Fleets the Protectors are the core of their troops. These fast mid-ranged fighters are equipped with Shardguns able to rapid fire Rending shots into their enemies.

Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.

Make sure to follow OPR on Instagram to see tons of pictures and videos of our painted miniatures: https://www.instagram.com/onepagerules/

That's it for this week, happy wargaming!

Is it March 4 yet?

I very much like the elves. I especially like that they are not excessively detailed. As much as I appreciate the renders of the Blessed Sisters on the screen, the details like the tassels and crosses can make them unforgiving to print and the details like the intricate trim on the shoulder pads can make them exhausting to paint.

Terje Erwing Bjelkholm

Not sold on the proportions of the elves unfortunately. They seem too stocky to me. I feel the same about the recent humans and vampires, but elves in particular I would expect to be more lithe and graceful. Please take this in the spirit of constructive criticism.

The elves look great. Looking forward to seeing more.

I am completely blown away by those elves, genuinely. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much when High Elf Fleets were announced, but this is the perfect balance between high fantasy elves and Vulcans that use magic. I've seen lots of space elves, but your guys' army may just be the only one I ever use.

Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the minis are getting too chunky. I like a couple of the empire minis but recently I haven't been liking the sets, the vampiric undead were kinda a disappointment and now the elves. The proportions are just making them look too cartoonish.

sully

the best minis sets were the truescale-adjacent one (Daemons, Sisters, Jackals etc). mostly a bit disappointing otherwise

Samantha Riley

I agree the Chunky style looks bad. I have been collecting and printing the dwarfs so not too bad, but the modes in the welcome packs and stuff I’ve bought that are more detailed and delicate are amazing.! And if you are worried about breakage just use Siraya tech tenacious mixed 20:80 with their fast for modes that don’t snap anything off … bring back finer models!
