OPR Hangout Stream - August 30th

Something new and exciting is happening at OPR!

On the last week of every month, we're running an OPR Hangout stream over on YouTube, where we showcase upcoming releases, sneak peeks at future content, and have a Q&A session for you to get involved.

This is a relaxed stream, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at our creation process whilst chatting a bit and having some fun. The next stream is going to be on August 30th at 18:00 GMT / 15:00 EST / 12:00 PST.

2D Print - New Previews

Below you can see previews of some of the paper minis that will be released in August, with the Robot Legions Set 3 and the Mummified Undead Set 2.

3D Print - New Previews, Terrain Problems, New Video

At the top of this post you can see previews of some of the models that will be released in September, with the Change Flamers, the Plague Throne and Beast, and the Saurian Dread Gator.

This is a repeat from last week's message, in case anyone missed it:

Unfortunately we've been suffering issues in our terrain production, to the point that we're having to fundamentally re-structure our work, to ensure that we can keep delivering high quality terrain in the future. We've hired additional help, and are currently going through a training and trial phase, which is going to cause some significant delays.

Here's our current expectations:

  • Change - Small terrain will be released ASAP
  • Change - Remaining terrain delayed by 1-2 months
  • War - Terrain released without delays
  • Jackals - Terrain on hold until further notice

If everything goes well, we should be back in full terrain production within the next 1-2 months, and the releases will be smooth from then on. :)

Nice! Do such Preview sheets exist for the already released models perhaps? Would make it easier for me to crossreference the List Builder with the 2D prints I am currently working on for my first test game :)

Thank you for your concise and upfront updates when things don't go exactly to plan. While I know many other good Patreons do like wise, there's way more who don't bother with explanations (or worse, lie about when they run into problems to not look bad). Most people, I think, just appreciate honesty without drama. Things come up. The world is chaos. Let's all enjoy our War Dollies. :)

The original Daemon of Change is actually the first OPR sculpt I ever bought, glad to see the Saurian version, plus appreciate the reminder I never printed mine :X

Yes, the Change Gator was removed (didn't fit our daemons), but people loved the sculpt so much that we decided to re-work it and release it as a Saurian Dread Gator with a Gecko Chief on top. If you have the old one, look at the STLs side by side, and you will see a ton of improvements. :)

OMG YEASSSSSS!!! I was so gutted when I forgot to purchase the Daemon of Change before it was removed from the store. I thought it would make a fantastic addition to my Saurian army and had it in my cart for months. Have been upset ever since. BUT NOW ITS BACK! And looking better than ever!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

WOW!!!! That Dread Gator is a sweet sweet looking model. Better start ordering more resin ha ha! Personally, I think the Change Flamer looks artificial. The two hands are too perfect (exact same height, exact same orientation, and the rotational symmetry of the fingers on them). Maybe make some small adjustments to them to make them look a bit more organic.

OPR: So terrain is going to be delayed while we train up someone to help handle the current buttload of stuff we design. Me without looking up from the current buttload of stuff to print: ...mhmmm...cool...cool.... PS. My 6 year old boy is stoked he gets to paint "space dinosaurs"!
